Why is it, I wonder, that on the first Saturday morning in who-knows-how-many I can sleep in as late as I want and my internal clock decides to kick in at six a.m.? It doesn’t do this on weekdays, why does it today? Er, [looks at the clock] yesterday. I forced myself to snooze for a couple of hours but by eight I was wide awake. I retalliated by taking a four hour nap this afternoon. Take that, circadian rhythms! So now I’m actively procrastinating finishing the draft of my next article, trying to capitalize on some night-time creativity sans daylight distractions. Back to work!
If I crack the whip on myself, does that make me a masochist? 😉
